This Privacy Policy applies to the Truck 26 mobile application and any related services operated by Truck 26 ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

- Profile details: name, email, city
- Truck listings: brand, model, year, KM, price, photos, location, description
- Booking preferences: preferred test-drive dates
- Wishlist and browsing preferences

- App usage: screens viewed, actions taken, session duration

- Approximate location (city-level) inferred from IP

3 HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

- Connect buyers with sellers for inspections and test drives
- Send you critical service updates (booking confirmations, listing status)
- Improve app performance, fix bugs, and refine features
- Detect and prevent fraud, scams, or misuse of the marketplace

4 DATA SECURITY
We treat data security as a first-class engineering priority. We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

- With other Truck 26 users when you list a truck (public listing details) or express interest in a listing (name and phone shared with the seller)

- In a business transfer (merger or acquisition), subject to equivalent privacy commitments
6 YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Under Indian data protection law, you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — request permanent removal of your account and data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdrawal — revoke consent for optional data uses at any time

7 DATA RETENTION
We keep your personal information only as long as it is needed to provide the service or comply with legal obligations. On account deletion, we remove your profile and listings within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records tied to completed transactions).
8 DATA DELETION
Users can request the deletion of their account and all associated data by emailing truck26.help@gmail.com. Requests will be processed within 48 hours.
What Gets Deleted
- Your account profile (name, email, city, phone)
- All truck listings you have posted
- Your wishlist, bookings, and browsing history
- Any photos or media you uploaded

We confirm every deletion in writing. Certain records tied to completed transactions or legal obligations may be retained in anonymised form as required by law.

9 COOKIES & ANALYTICS
The Truck 26 mobile app does not use browser cookies. We do collect anonymous usage analytics and crash diagnostics through industry-standard SDKs to improve stability and performance. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to personally identify you.
9 THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Truck 26 relies on the following third-party providers:
- Cloud hosting for backend infrastructure
- Database and storage providers for listings and photos
- SMS gateway for OTP delivery
- Crash reporting and anonymous analytics
Each vendor is contractually bound to handle data with the same standards described in this policy.
11 PERMISSIONS THE APP REQUESTS
- Camera — only when you tap Take Photo in the Sell flow
- Photo library — only when you tap Choose from Gallery in the Sell flow
- Internet and Network State — required to reach our servers
You can deny or revoke any permission at any time via your device settings.
12 CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Truck 26 is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.
13 INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your data is primarily stored on servers located in India. If we ever transfer data outside India, we ensure equivalent legal protections are in place, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
14 CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. Material changes will be notified in-app at least 15 days before taking effect. The "Effective" date at the top always reflects the latest version.
